Well known is Chun-Li (/tʃʌnˈli) from the Streetfighter games. She first appeared in Streetfighter II The World Warrior in 1991.

She has appeared in almost all subsequent installments of the series and several other Capcom games as well as third-party games. She is also featured in Street Fighter-related media, including two feature films, several anime and comic productions, and other official series merchandise. She has received a lot of positive response from fans and critics due to her backstory, athleticism, and in-game playability, and is considered a pioneer for female characters in fighting games and video games in general.
